Delta Dental of Pennsylvania was a small dental health insurance company. Under Gary Radine’s leadership, its growth skyrocketed. Working out of a warehouse near the New Cumberland Army Depot, Gary wanted a new building to demonstrate their success. That meant a move to a much more prestigious location and new headquarters that made a statement.

What is rare in our business category is that we handle the complete development cycle. That begins with determining the organization’s needs, which goes a long way to defining the size of the building. We research location alternatives, contract with an architect and oversee the design. Red tape? That’s ours as well. We obtain all the permits and the approvals. We selected the general contractor, in this case H. B. Alexander, a union shop as was required by Delta Dental. With our banking relationships, we arranged the financing. After assisting with the move in, Delta Dental took over the management of the property.

The result is a very handsome building that was economically feasible, presenting a very positive image to the community and creating a comfortable, efficient environment for the staff. It is notable that when their leadership saw that we were looking out for their best interests, their entire team got behind us. That developed into another outcome, as John Rhodes accepted their offer to be a member of the board of directors.
